The use of Acrylic was an exploration into 3D. Minimizing the complexity of the code I focused more on the positive and negative shapes created by the generative art. Like the Glass and Print art work aspects of the math and code have similarities to each other.
Perlin Arches
Perlin noise is a random sequence generator producing a more naturally ordered, harmonic succession of numbers. Applied here to a simple arch and visualized through colored plastic.
Overlapping Noise
Overlapping shapes intersect each other showing the negative where each pair of coordinates along the shape corresponds to a fixed semi-random value, while filling in the positive intersection of the two shapes.
Diminishing Noise
Single diminishing negative shapes where each pair of coordinates along the shape corresponds to a fixed semi-random value.
